Hummus sounds crazy a bit I know, but y’all know I’d be honest with you if something didn’t work! With a food processor this is a 10 minute project that is easily adjusted to personal taste, and little helpers gladly pitch in their assistance!
2 cans of chickpeas drained or 3 cups of fresh cooked
1 teaspoon cumin
3 cloves of garlic (3 cloves makes it kinda spicy so maybe just 1 or 2 depending on your taste)
1/2 teaspoon paprika
3 Tablespoons lemon juice (fresh or bottle really)
3 Tablespoons tahini ( its sesame paste can be found at Whole Foods, Central Market, Market Street, and maybe in the Greek section of your grocer?)
1/4 cup water (more or less depending on how thick you want it to be)
2-3 Tablespoons olive oil (again more or less depending on how thick you want it to be)
If and when you wanna get fancy you can add spinach, feta cheese, roasted red bell peppers or who knows what else might tickle your fancy!!
It makes a really large amount compared to the store bought packages!!!
